Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using BabyLoop ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the service.

2. Description of service

BabyLoop is a web-based baby tracking application that allows parents and caregivers to log feeding, sleep, nappy changes, medicine, mood and growth for babies and toddlers. Records are stored on your device; connecting Google Drive is optional and keeps a copy of your records in your own Drive. BabyLoop is provided by Janaka Premathilaka ("we", "us", or "our").

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use BabyLoop. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The app is designed for use by parents, legal guardians, and authorised caregivers of infants and young children.

4. Google account and data

BabyLoop works without a Google account. If you choose to connect Google Drive, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. A copy of your tracking data is then stored in your personal Google Drive. We do not access, store, or control that data beyond writing and reading it on your behalf through the Google Drive API.

5. Permitted use

You agree to use BabyLoop only for lawful purposes. You may not:

6. No medical advice

BabyLoop is a logging and tracking tool only. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any health concerns about your child. Do not delay seeking professional medical advice based on information logged in or displayed by BabyLoop.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

BabyLoop is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BabyLoop and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data or profits — arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Your data and its deletion

Your tracking data is stored on your device and, if connected, in your own Google Drive. You can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data on the device and removing the BabyLoop folder from your Drive. You can also revoke BabyLoop's access via Google Account settings. We do not maintain independent copies of your tracking data.

10. Changes to the service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of BabyLoop after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zug, Switzerland.
